Long Overdue Updates

Wow!! I have been really bad about updating the blog. A lot has been going on since my last update.
Hannah is 7 months old now. These last few months have really gone by fast! She weighs 12# 5oz. She is smaller then they would like her to be but at least she is gaining. She just has her own little curve that she follows. We have a phsical therapist and speech therapist come to the house once a week. Hannah has been making very brief eye contact and will focus on an object every now and then. She still prefers to look to the left and won't track an object or face. We practice with her everyday. Even Haley helps out. We are getting more smiles from her which is always nice to see!! :0)

At the end of December we started taking Hannah to see a chiropractor. Neither Mike or I have ever been to one and didn't know what to expect but I fully believe Dr. Nancy has made a world of difference with Hannah. Once we started going Hannah has started to sleep better. Still not perfect but better than what she was. We try to take her at least once a week. Hannah doesn't seem to be as stiff after she goes to the chiropractor and is more relaxed. It's nothing like I had pictured when I thought about taking her but am so glad we tried it out.

We are also taking Hannah to a massage therapist who is certified in cranial sacral therapy. This has been amazing. After one of these treatments Hannah will turn her head to the right on her own. Which she has never really done before. She goes once a week for this as well.

Although Hannah is very delayed developmentally, she has made some small steps forward. She will go see a new neurologist later this month and hopefully we will have some more information.
