A New Hannah Update

We went to visit Hannah's Rehab physician, who monitors how Hannah is progressing and keeps a close eye on her hips and other joints to make sure her tightness isn't going to cause any problems. Well, on this visit we found a problem. Hannah's left leg is slightly shorter than her right due to the tightness of her tendons and muscles, which we knew about but was just keeping an eye on it for now. After getting another set of x-rays and seeing an orthopedic specialist, it has been decided that Hannah will need hip surgery. We thought it was going to be a few months before we would be able to get it scheduled but they are going to be able to get Hannah in NEXT WEEK!!!!! The procedure is called an Adductor Myotomy and should only last about an hour. She will have to stay in the hospital overnight. This procedure should give Hannah some more range of motion of her hip and hopefully allow her to sit more comfortably in her highchair and other seated positions.

Please keep Hannah in your thoughts and prayers next week!!
