Here we go........
We started our day off with breakfast and then "threw away" all our baby diapers. OKay so Haley thinks we threw them away but diapers are just too expensive to just toss out. Then Haley put on her first pair of Big Girl Panties. She was so excited. We then started pushing the fluids. Offering her drinks constantly. By the 5th wet pair of panties I thought this was going to be a long day. Thankfully Mike is on vacation to help. After the 5th pair Haley finally went pee in the potty!! We danced and cheered and gave high fives. She got to put a sticker on her Clifford Potty Chart. After that she told us everytime she had to pee the only problem was that she was already going pee in the process. But we feel that is still progress. At least she recognizes what she is doing. After about 14 pairs of underware we thought we better do a load of laundry! We still had some clean ones left but we didn't want to get caught without any. Finally after nap time something started to click with Haley because she started to tell us when she had to potty and actually only got her panties a little wet! Finally we are making progress. I thought this was going to be a long road but by the end of the first night Haley had gone in the potty 4 times and kept her panties dry!!!! We still had a couple of accidents. Haley was home with Mike and he stepped into the other room and Haley came running and said "uh oh Daddy pee pee on floor." Oh Well pee pee happens! Things have come along way since this morning!!!! We'll see how bedtime goes!!
