Lots of New Updates!

WOW! A lot has happened since my last post. It's amazing how time flies with 2 kids and lack of sleep! So here is a shortened version of what has been going on with Miss Hannah over the last couple of months.
Since my last post Hannah was admitted into the hospital because she spiked a fever of 101.8. Poor thing had to go to the ER where they poked at her for about 3 hours straight! She was started on an IV, blood cultures were drawn, and they attempted to unsuccuessfully get a spinal tap. She was in the hospital for about 2 days to make sure all her labs were fine. Doctors determined that she was just fighting a virus and was able to stop her antibiotics and she was able to come home.

We still were battling her feedings. She was taking the bottle but it was a fight to feed her. She would cry and fuss throughout the entire feeding. She acted like she was being tortured while she ate. She was started on reflux meds and was scheduled to see a GI specialist. She had an upper GI done on Wednesday and everything looked normal. It didn't even look like she was refluxing. We then took her to she a speech therapist and she suggested that we thicken her milk. Thank God for Simply Thick because that has totally changed the way Hannah is eating. We can now get her to take 3 to 4 ounces without a fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't even know what a relief that is! She will go next week for a swallow study. This will give the speech therapist an idea of how she is eating and her technique to give us a better idea of what bottles to use and other ways to make eating easier for her.

The other problem we are concerned about involves Hannah's head. Her head size seems to be a little on the small size. She also has a strong preference for turning her head to the left and won't track anything with her eyes. That is why we had a head CT done on Friday. Hoping for good news and maybe all her feeding issues have caused her to have a little bit of a delay. We shall see once we get the results and go from there.
We want to thank everyone for keeping Hannah in your prayers. We truly appreciate all the love that our family has received. Having family and friends has really helped us get through it all!
